Main goal of the project:

1. Complex study of influence of the surface polishing and chemical etching procedures of CdTe/CdZnTe radiation detectors on the leakage current and their charge collection efficiency.
2. Investigation of the passivation technology (wet and dry passivation approach) and the contact configuration (geometry of the guard-ring) by a complex of experimental methods and theoretical models and its effect on the detector noise, leakage current and charge collection efficiency.
3. Search for optimal etching conditions, passivation method and contact configuration.
